How to Make Lumpia/Spring Roll Wrapper


Last time I showed you how to make a fresh lumpia wrapper or crepes. Today I will teach you how to make a home made spring roll wrapper. with 3 basic ingredients, all purpose flour, water and salt.
To make spring roll wrapper: Combine salt and water, mix until totally dissolved. Get one big mixing bowl and combine all ingredients. Mix it with your hands until you have smooth and thick batter. (about ten minutes). Rest the batter for 30 minutes. After resting for 30 minutes, this how it looks like. Pre-heat a wide non-stick pan over medium fire. When the pan is already hot adjust the fire to low. Take a handful of batter gathering it into the cup of your hand. Now make a thin circular smear on the pan by rubbing the batter with circular motion. When the sides of the wrapper begin to curl up, you can lift the sheet from the pan.

Yield: 36 pcs 7" wrapper
Ingredients

500 g All-Purpose Flour
1 tsp Rock Salt
450 ml or 2 cups Water]

Procedure

Continue the process until all is done.

Notes! 
  • The whole process 10 seconds more or less; 
  • If the pan is too hot, the batter will not adhere to the pan. So adjust the heat accordingly. 
  • If you don't get it right at your first try... try it again.
  • You don't have to cook the other side of the wrapper, if its too wet just flip it and let it dry for 2-3 seconds.
