How to Make Hopia-food and recipes

Ingredients
For the Filling
Red Monggo Paste (how to make red monggo paste)

1st Dough
2 cups All Purpose Flour
1/2 cup White Water
1/2 cup Vegetable Oil
1/2 tsp of Iodized Salt

2nd Dough
1 1/2 Cups All Purpose Flour
1/2 cup White Sugar
3/4 cups Vegetable Shortening/Lard

Procedure
In a bowl combine all ingredients for the first dough. Once everything has come together knead with your hand until smooth then aside.
For the second dough, combine first the flour and white sugar, mix well then add the shortening. Mix using fork and finish using your hand until you form it into a dough.
It is now time to combine the first and the second dough. Follow the steps below.
Flatten the first dough... Crumble the second dough over... And flattened using a spatula... Trim the edges... Roll... Rest in the fridge for 15 minutes.
While the dough is resting prepare your red bean filling, use ice cream scooper to form it into a ball. (how to make red monggo paste)
Pre heat your oven.
After resting the dough you can now form your hopia. Follow the steps below...

Beat an egg then brush this on top of the hopia... and onto the sides as well.

Bake in a pre heated oven at 200C for about 15 to 20 minutes.
And you're done!
