Thinking about making a homemade spread? Why don't you try this recipe, the ingredients is very easy to find, cheap but delicious! This yema spread is perfect for toasted breads and frosting for yema cake.
Yield: 1 1/2 cup
Ingredients
154 ml Evaporated Milk (small can)
250 ml Sweetened Condensed Milk
2 pcs Egg Yolk
1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
1 pcs Calamansi Juice
1 tbsp Butter
Procedure
In a medium pan or small sauce pot combine evaporated milk, condensed milk, egg yolk and vanilla extract. Mix well.
Cook over low heat and continues stirring the mixture to avoid of burning.
After 25 minutes it will start to thicken up, add calamansi juice and butter. Continue cooking and stirring until you achieve the right consistency.
Prepare a sanitized jar by boiling it for 10 minutes.
Transfer in your prepared sanitized jar and refrigerate.
This is a perfect yema spread so delicious and creamy!
