This is a tutorial on how to make a homemade Nutella, not 100% like the consistency of Nutella that made in the factory but it taste like the real thing. You can keep this home made nutella for up to two weeks inside your refrigerator, just use a sanitized jar. Read the tutorial below on how to sanitize a jar.
Ingredients
250 g Hazelnuts
1/4 cup Cocoa Powder
2/3 cup Caster Sugar (super fine white sugar)
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
1/4 cup Canola Oil or any vegetable oil with neutral flavor.
Procedure
Roast the hazelnuts in the oven for about 5 to 10 minutes in 200 degree Celsius. After roasting, using a towel rub the hazelnuts to remove the skin. If you can find some ready and peeled hazelnuts in the supermarket that's perfect.
Put hazelnuts in a food processor, I highly recommend to use a food processor for this one, simple because most blenders don't have the kind of power that you need to grind this nuts but if you have a really powerful blender you can use it.
Turn on the processor and grind until it becomes moist powder.
At this moment add cocoa powder, sugar and vanilla extract.
With the food processor running pour the vegetable oil very slowly. If the mixture is still sticky you can add more oil...
Once the consistency is already smooth it's done!
Transfer in a sanitized jar. You can keep this in your fridge for up to 2 weeks.
Know How!
- To sterilized a jar, in a deep pot bring a water to a boil and put the jar into it and boil for 1 to 2 minutes.
